I am to do 50 more paintings in a little bit of a different direction than I was already going. This assignment has been given to me not by the head of the art dept, but by the professor I took watercolor from, whom I actually care to receive advice from on the matter. Soooo, beginning tomorrow (actually today) my time off is up and I will get back to business until everything is due December 2nd. I may not have 50 paintings by then. I will eventually have at least 50 paintings of this subject, but later when I have more time to focus on just that. All of the pieces that I have finished up to this point have been photographed and uploaded to the gallery. Over my 5 day Thanksgiving break I will be buying matting and framing for the pieces I'll pick to be submitted for the Senior Art show. That's next week already. Time is flying by at rapid speeds. It's hard to just catch my breath. I'll be able to though when it's all over and I'm graduated on December 19th. =)
Until I can,
Bethany

Hi Bethany Pyle!

Thank you for the watch. I love your style. You have a unique color palette, soft but strong too. Stands out.

Art student, yay. I have no training.

Did you see my doll :icondamseldolls:

I paint Japanese dolls and others with a face about the size of a quarter(1:6 scale). And fully customize them...they are sold on my Etsy.

I have to paint them with magnifying visors so painting on my :icongracevisions: is my relaxing art :

Your watercolors are really nice! They are soft and full of life! :D

Wow! Your dolls are beautiful. How did you get into doing something like that and how long does one usually take? I've just always wondered how people get into doing dolls. It's something I'm kind of interested in getting into myself. =)
:icongracevisions:
watch my doll account :icondamseldolls: and look at all my WIP deviations and the tutorial I have up.Read and study other artist too. A custom doll is a funny thing ...one may take me 3 hours and another 10...just depends on how it works out..its pretty intense art. I'm gonna try to make a book within the next year to help people with customizing.

I'm glad you like them! I've been a stylist (hair and makeup) for many years so when I started staying home with my kids this was something I found and loved...I've been doing dolls off and on for 8 years :D
